InspirED.

I have my very first actual job interview tomorrow @ Standard Chartered. And I am pretty hopeful that it’s going to go great. Cant believe I have gotten that old this fast and I am probably soon going to be actually Earning and beginning a career.. Wow, really pretty scary when you think about it and yet still more Exiting with the hope that my future holds so much good- and everything that I have dreamed of will come my way, soon enough. When I do think about it though I find every reason to Not be afraid of what’s to come cause like everything before and everything that’s going on now its just another part of living, growing up human isn’t it? and man its going to be So much Fun. I know WORK? FUN? But right now it seems so.. and at the very least its going to be so much of a welcome break from staying at home doing absolutely nothing all these days

I do have a fair idea about what to expect of the work culture and job scenario there having done my internship programme there (ya I completed it successfully) for about a month in my last semester of college. But I am pretty sure what I am going to be put through there is a whole lot different from the last time I was there. On the plus side though I Do like HR and Finance and intend to pursue my MBA in either of the 2 or related fields. Here’s looking for a fabulous first step to my actual Life’s beginning and hoping that it brings to me luck and fortune as it progresses- Cheers!!

MrinVid-The Engagement Diary

THE engagement of the year happened recently on 7th June 06, @ Coimbatore-to my very own brother and the new princess-to-be of my house. It was one of the most entertaining and grand affairs i have ever witnessed much less be fortunate to be a part of. this is how the whole trip went-

We were the first group to arrive there early morning around 8 by Air Deccan and my bro's father in law was waiting at the airport to pick us up. Took the Tempo to the hotel, checked in and feasted on the impressive breakfast buffet. Then went to our rooms to nap and by the time we woke up it was time to go to the bride's house for lunch and we all got ready and went there. We ate and sat chatting while waiting for the others to join us. And finally the buses arrived with the rest of the gang that had come by train. My bro couldnt come as it wasn't a good day for him to enter the house, so Mrin's cousin and her husband had taken him for lunch and shopping. We chilled out in the evening at the hotel and joined the rest of them quite late at the Hospital( the bride's family owns one) where the staff there had arranged a function. We arrived late cause the girls took a long while getting ready and by the time we reached the auditorium was more than full and the show had started.
It was quite a hilarious entertaining show they put up with a skit, song and dances the theme of which basically comprised praising both family's and the bride and groom. It finally ended with them calling the bride and groom on to stage and we all got to see them both dance with the whole crowd on stage. Went back to the hotel and i stayed in the impressive suite with Vidh.

Day 2 began early with first the buffet breakfast while mom, dad and bro went to someones house for breakfast and finished the engagment trey items shopping-fruits, flowers, etc.
Before lunch we were scheduled to have a games show type galatta competition between the bride and groom sides. It started with a 4 round antakshari which-we, the grooms side, won.
They next showcased a slideshow of chosen pictures showcasing my brother's childhood and growing up snaps- on a huge screen to the audience. This was followed by an amazing lunch buffet. That afternoon was spent getting all the plates and treys ready and packing and decorating them for the engagement function that evening. The evening while Vidh had his facian and beauty treatment done at the saloon in the hotel, we all crowded in one room and got all the treys ready, dressed in our best and had all the stuff transferred to the hall downstairs. There was quite an impressive crowd turnout and the setting of the hall and decoration arrangements was one of the most beautiful i have seen, so bright and colourful.

The groom first walked in led by the brides brother and then the bride followed. Then it was the turn of the girls of the house to carry all the treys filled with goodies to the stage and place them in front. Then the formalities of the engagment were presided over and the official signing of the agreement done. Later the girl was blessed by all the elder people and woman and dinner was served in the hall upstairs. The menu was amazing and had Thai, Mexican, Chinese and Indian counters. The bride and groom meanwhile met people and posed for pictures.

We had a train to catch in a while so we ate early and got ready -rushing to the station to catch the train just about barely. Mom and dad stayed over with bro and returned by air next day.
The train was good fun since the whole compartment was filled with the wedding crowd. We played cards till late until we were forced to turn of the lights and try to sleep cause we were making too much noise and disturbing everyone. Next day got home to normal routine life and i had to catch a flight to blore in a few hours that got delayed to the evening. Looking forward to more fun on the wedding trip to come soon.

Mistakes

It's really pretty surprising how all it takes for life to turn from heaven to hell in just a few seconds is because of a few mistakes. Mistakes unintentional and done in a frame of mind where it is lost. One moment you feel you have it all just right and perfect and the next moment it's all gone-shattered, battered and bruised so much that you wonder what happened and why it even existed when it shouldn't have in the first place. Or what you said, did or felt wrong. Not something so beautiful. Not for you. And me being quite the expert and messing up, does stupid things to ruin it to a level far worse than it already is- leaving it unfixable. And yet that glimmer of hope exists where miracles happen as have before in the past. Every instance this happens digs deeper into the fact that i am Cursed, or so it seems. For all my Mistakes, for all the bad things that happen to me, for all the bad luck that comes to everyone else i know, for all those stupid actions of me that go without reason or thought, for all those people i hurt or offend or insult without meaning to, for all those genuine pure intentions of good directed towards me that i fail to understand respect and respond to, for all my regrets on having lived life to date the way i have -i blame me, myself and i. When some of the most beautiful, amazing persons i know-my Gods that i would be noone without find reason or fault in my, my actions or my wrong understanding it's me whose responsible and at fault.

and the hope lives on............./.

Viva Bangalore!

They dont hop over to Bangalore every other weekend for nothing. For one the road there is a must-drive out of the world super fast highway that deserves to b driven on-and FAST, cause wel face it the cars we get nowdays Can actually almost litrally Fly! for 2. - the city itself ROCKS. from the shopping mall, to the pretty girls. to the tasty food and the chill climate and wild nightlife it's pretty much almost got everything the way a place should have. Well the bad thing about the city-intolarable to some like me is the Traffic. and thts a killer. it takes you a pretty long time in bumper to bumper vehical traffic to get just about anywhere at almost any time.

I arrived a day later than the others at the city cause of the engagement and since my afternoon flight was delayed to the evening, landed @ Blore Airport around 630 and by the time Siddhu picked me up and we headed to Thryambucks apartment it was well past 8. Got ready and left to Forum which was just across- to have dinner at McDonalds and then watch the Da Vinci Code at the PVR theatre there. Played poker for a while and fell asleep -after being entertained by a friend. The apartment was pretty impressive and had just about everything.

Woke up the next day and we were joined by Thryambucks fiancee who had flown in and she made us a very delightful breakfast of omelette sandwhiches. We went for a swim at the apartment's pool after that.Had a typical spicy andhra lunch after a disapointing visit to this other place someone had suggested. Then went bowling where all of us scored pretty well and got a couple of strikes. Picked up T- and headed home. They stayed at home to watch the football match world cup opening and we all dressed in our best and headed to Spinn to party. Was incredible fun dancing amidst the throbing crowd. headed home after that and had another session of Vinays entertaining antics- quite an unforgivable fun experience.. laughing all night it was hilarious.

The next day i decided to leave with some of them in Adhi's car cause he had to head back so we woke up, got ready and packed - lunch was at Fiorano- this cool Italian joint that had really good food and while the half of them headed back we said our byes and thanks and got into Adhi's Accent for the journey home. i slept quite comfortably for the most part while Adhi and his driver ripped on the National Highway and had us back in Chennai in pretty good time. Overall it was a super fun trip that left behind a lot of memories to remember forever.. and we are just about all planned to more than repeat the experience at Srilanka this December........

Congratulations, ME!

just checked my results online a couple of hours back and by some miracle seem to have passed by BA(Economics) UG course degree with a first class..not overly amazing but i am glad to have survived my worst fear successfully and be headed into the next step.CONGRATULATIONS-ME and Good Luck too.!praises to Loyola and a BIG, Hearty "THANK YOU"- to all my friends and family for helping me with everything , so far........
